Art

Art. A simple word that means many things to many people. Passion, anger, romance, boredom, imagination, frustration; there are few words that can invoke an infinite number of different feelings. To me however, art is simply about freedom, about expressing yourself in any way you see fit. If I want to draw a picture of a dragon peacefully resting near an enchanted river, I should be able to. Likewise, if I just want to draw god damned gay smut, I should be able to, and no one has the right to say otherwise.

Not everyone shares that view of course, and if you believe in the 100% complete freedom to post whatever picture you want on any online art gallery, you will be sorely disappointed. In the case of the Yaoi Galleries, you're restricted by almost painfully uptight rules - and you'd think a website dedicated to yaoi of all things would be more open-minded. Sheezy Art, while less strict about what you can and can't post, suffers from one of the worst art communities I've seen. Not that the art featured there is bad, but that the people are elitist, close-minded, or both. Go there, and prepare to be flung out on your ass mere minutes later.

DeviantART, so far, is the only gallery that hasn't disappointed me.

For these reasons, I'll be abandoning my Yaoi Gallery and Sheezy Art accounts, and I'll be creating my own website. I'll house all my art, fiction, and videos there for anyone who cares enough to enjoy. I'll also have it be a sort of 'hub', providing links to any other public galleries I choose to remain at, as well as my blog.

^_^ So be sure to keep an eye out for that. 'Til then, continue to check out my deviantART account and Youtube account for updates.

You Wacky Internet Trolls

The internet troll is a solitary creature, most often found living in the dank depths of their mother's basement, emerging only at night to raid the kitchen for Cheetos. The internet troll spends it's days lurking the internet, most commonly art galleries and forums, doing anything it can to stir up trouble for no other reason than to see how people will react. This may either be a plea for attention, or more likely, the troll is merely a bored douche bag with too much time on his hands.

I became a victim of the internet troll at my Yaoi Gallery account today. Some jackass reported over half of my pictures and got them deleted as a violation of the website's Terms of Service. I assume the troll claimed them to be Furry artwork, which (for whatever reason) isn't allowed at the Y!Galleries.

The artwork in question was all Osmosis Jones artwork...and the characters in question were not furries of any sort. In fact, there's a section of the website (small though it is) dedicated to Osmosis Jones fanart. The movie isn't exactly crazy popular though, so I guess I can understand someone mistaking the characters, Thrax at least, for some kind of furry.

The interesting thing though, is that it's always the same handful of artwork that gets reported. A little less than half of my Osmosis Jones fanart is still there, safe and sound. So yeah, I'm almost 100% sure it's just a troll with nothing better to do.

Either way, it's annoying. Y!Galleries is painfully uptight about the artwork they allow on their gallery. Considering it's a website dedicated entirely to male homosexual artwork, you'd think they'd be a wee bit more open-minded. Apparently not.

I'm trying to contact a website moderator to resolve this issue. Here's hoping.

Rock Bottom Is Cozy

I'm still rather obsessed with Osmosis Jones, having already gone so far as to make a fan-virus. Well, I made a fan-cell now. Meet Thane Ransom, an Immunity officer from the City of Jennifer. Woo! It's cozy here at rock bottom.

It amuses me to no end that he's a smoker...what with bein' a white blood cell and all. XD

Speaking of rock bottom, I've also made 3 music videos using clips from the movie itself (the animated bits anyway).

WARNING:: If you have a problem with heavily implied man-lovin', avoid my videos. I'm a twisted lil' number, and Ozzy/Thrax makes me one very happy panda.

Also, if you do intend to watch them, make sure to click the words "Watch In High Quality" on the bottom right corner of the video...

*ahem*

Ye have been warned.

On an entirely unrelated note, I've been having a hard time working on my World of Warcraft movies. Turns out my computer is rather underpowered, so using Adobe After Effects is proving to be rather taxing, especially when it comes down to getting the rendered video to play. I've been experimenting with different methods of rendering to see what I can come up with, but really, I think this is a sign that my computer is officially underpowered and I should invest in a new one.

@_@ Aw snap.

Interwebz

Well, we're moved into our new place...somewhat. We still have a lot of unpacking to do here, which is putting a damper on my movie-making. We only recently got our computers and internet hooked up, soooo I should be able to get back to work on Diary: Outland soon. ^_^
